Ladiko Beach Rhodes Island
Ladiko beach is definitely one of the most romantic spots of the Rhodes island. Lying on the northeastern coast and only 15 km away from the Rhodes Town, Ladiko became famous after the Anthony Quinn’s movie “The Guns of Navarone” was filmed here. Quinn himself, charmed by the unspoiled beauty of Ladiko bay, owned a part of it, named, how else than “Anthony Quinn beach”.
The nature was generous with this little bay – a tiny and romantic sand and pebbles beach, calm emerald waters – the reflection of the lush green hills, along with the exotic scent of the pine trees, make together an idyllic place. The huge scenic rocks make Ladiko waters ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling, attracting many young passionate. The beach might get crowded at your Rhodes Holidays in August, but in rest is the perfect alternative to the nearby noisy Faliraki beach in the North or to the lively Afandou beach to the South. The romantic scenery is completed by the many sailing boats dropping anchor in Ladiko bay, and you can even rent a jetty to admire the sunset on the sea.
Relax in the idyllic atmosphere of Ladiko beach, on your sun bed, under a shady umbrella, or with traditional ouzo at the small cozy taverna on the top of the bay.
Continue your evening with an incursion in the cosmopolite city of Rodos, a short drive away. Proceed a lovely shopping session in the Turkish Quarter, and walk on the Elli beach promenade to the luxurious Casino? Just in case you feel lucky…
