Agathi Beach Rhodes Island

Agathi Beach | Rhodes Island | Greece

One of the most beautiful places for relaxation under the sun of Greece, Agathi beach lies on the eastern coast of the island of Rhodes, 36 km away from the Rhodes Town and 10 km from the village of Lindos. Follow the signs from the nearby beach of Haraki, and find your path to Agathi beach.
Prepare your camera, as half way along the road to Agathi beach you will discover the beautiful medieval castle of Feraklos, offering lovely views over the coast.
The beach is small and secluded, offering an excellent shelter for relaxation – the golden sands mingle beautifully with the clear blue waters, great for a snorkeling session to admire the fantastic underwater life. Three cozy tavernas fit perfectly in the image, tempting you with the traditional souvlaki and refreshments after an “exhausting” day of catching sun and swimming. When the sun becomes too strong, you can rent an umbrella from the Agathi beach tavernas, and take a nap under the shade. There is also a card-operated telephone on the beach of Agathi.
If you are visiting Agathi in the summer months, make sure you choose accommodation in an air-conditioning villa, as heat can be nasty during July and August.
If you’re exploring Rhodes with your tent, than you will sure love to know that camping is cool on Agathi beach. Take your sleeping bag and prepare yourself a cozy night nest in the cool cave at the end of the beach.
If you want a sun break in the afternoon, you can book an organized trip to Haraki, or drive yourself, as it’s a short ride away. Haraki is a small fishing village, where you can tempt your palate with a Greek fish specialty at one of the cozy tavernas, and take a walk on the lovely promenade afterwards. For a bit of exploring, you have the impressing Acropolis at Lindos, just 10 km away.
Spend some peaceful time on Agathi beach, and enjoy the lovely relaxation your Rhodes holidays will bring you.
